ESP & Pump Operator

Munn Engineers & Developers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for experienced and dedicated ESP & Pump Operators to support industrial and power plant operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) and other industrial pumping systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with pump operations, preventive maintenance, and industrial safety procedures, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced site environment.

Key Responsibilities

Pump Operations

  • Operate and monitor ESP (Electrical Submersible Pumps) and other industrial pumping systems.

  • Ensure safe startup, operation, and shutdown of pumps and associated equipment.

  • Monitor pump performance, pressure, flow rates, vibration, and operational parameters.

  • Maintain continuous and efficient operation of pumping systems.

  • Ensure maximum equipment availability and operational efficiency.

Inspection & Maintenance

  • Conduct routine inspections of pumps, motors, pipelines, valves, and auxiliary equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.

  • Assist maintenance teams during breakdowns, repairs, and overhauls.

  • Monitor equipment condition and report abnormalities promptly.

  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around operating areas.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

  • Identify and troubleshoot pump-related issues and equipment failures.

  • Analyze operational abnormalities and recommend corrective actions.

  • Support maintenance personnel during fault diagnosis and repairs.

  • Minimize downtime through quick response and corrective measures.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures, permit systems, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations and company policies.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses immediately.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily operation logs and shift reports.

  • Record pump performance data and equipment operating parameters.

  • Prepare maintenance observations and inspection reports.

  • Communicate operational status and issues to supervisors and maintenance teams.

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

  • Support shutdown, startup, commissioning, and maintenance activities.

  • Participate in safety meetings and operational reviews.

  • Assist in achieving plant performance and reliability targets.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, Fitter, or related technical trade.

  • 3–8 years of experience in pump operation and industrial projects.

  • Hands-on experience in Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP).

  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, slurry pumps, dewatering pumps, or similar industrial pumping systems.

  • Basic understanding of maintenance and troubleshooting practices.

  • Ability to work in rotating shifts (day/night).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Thermal Power Plants, Steel Plants, Cement Plants, or Industrial Facilities.

  • Familiarity with industrial pumping systems and fluid handling operations.

  • Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programs.

  • Immediate joiners will be preferred.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
