Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance, fabrication, and repair activities.
• Assist in the installation, dismantling, alignment, and replacement of mechanical equipment.
• Carry out cutting, fitting, grinding, and assembly work as required.
• Support maintenance teams during routine operations and plant shutdowns.
• Work on mechanical components, pipelines, structures, equipment, and auxiliaries.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely and effectively.
• Assist technicians, fitters, welders, and supervisors in project activities.
• Inspect work areas and equipment before starting assigned tasks.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the workplace.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, work permits, and site SOPs.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or work-related concerns to the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant technical trade preferred.
• Relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, fabrication, or industrial projects.
• Practical knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions and measurements.
• Ability to work effectively in an industrial/power plant environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in thermal power plants, steel plants, EPC projects, or industrial maintenance.
• Experience in mechanical shutdown and maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with power plant equipment and mechanical systems will be an advantage.
